The Algarve is well known for its beautiful beaches. More than 100 of them are waiting to be visited by you. Whether it is surrounded by bizarre rock formations, huge cliffs, in secluded bays or along sand dunes, you will definitely find your dream beach in the Algarve!

Praia de Odeceixe
Der Praia de Odeceixe befindet sich an der Meeresmündung des Flusses „Seixe“. Während der Flut ist vom Strand nur noch eine kleine Sandbank zu sehen. Erst bei Ebbe entfaltet der Praia de Odeceixe seine volle Pracht und wird zu einem großen Sandstrand.
The Praia de Odeceixe is located at the estuary of the river „Seixe“. At high tide, there is just a small sand bank visible. Only at low tide, the Praia de Odeceixe will display its beauty and turn into a large sandy beach.
Praia da Luz
Der Praia da Luz ist der Stadtstrand des ehemaligen Fischerdorfes Luz. Er liegt am Fuße einer mächtigen Felswand aus weißem Kalkstein und wird besonders gerne von Familien besucht.
The Praia da Luz is the city beach of the former fishing village Luz. It is located at the foot of a huge white limestone cliff and is visited especially by families.
Praia do Vale dos Homens
Der Praia do Vale dos Homens ist ein sehr ruhiger und abgelegener Strand. Der Zugang zu ihm erfolgt über eine lange Holztreppe, die sich die hohen Schieferwände hinabschlängelt.
The Praia do Vale dos Homens is a very quiet and remote beach. It can be accessed by a long wooden stairway that is going down the high shale wall.
Praia do Monte Clérigo
Der Praia do Monte Clérigo ist ein großer Sandbadestrand. Obwohl er den Meereswinden stark ausgesetzt ist, sind seine äußeren Enden durch hohe Felsen und Sanddünen relativ windgeschützt.
The Praia do Monte Clérigo is a large sandy beach. It is relatively sheltered from the wind due to its high rocks and sand dunes at its outer ends, although it is exposed to the strong ocean winds.
Praia da Arrifana
Am Fuße einer hohen Schiefersteilküste befindet sich der Praia da Arrifana. Aufgrund seiner schmalen Sandfläche ist er jedoch nur bedingt als Badestrand zu empfehlen. Wenn Du jedoch einen Strand zum Surfen suchst, dann bist Du hier genau richtig!

Praia Dona Ana
Der Praia Dona Ana vor den Toren von Lagos ist der bekannteste und meist besuchte Strand in der Algarve. Die Kombination aus massiven Felsblöcken, steilen Felswänden und kleinen Höhlen machen ihn besonders attraktiv.
The Praia Dona Ana at the entrance to the city of Lagos is the most famous and most visited beach in the Algarve. The combination of massive rocks, steep cliffs and small caves makes it especially appealing.
Praia do Camilo
Der Praia do Camilo befindet sich ebenfalls vor den Toren von Lagos. Er beeindruckt vor allem durch bizarre Felsformationen und seine vielen kleinen Badebuchten. Bevor Du die zahlreichen Treppenstufen hinab steigst, solltest Du Dir von seinem oberen Aussichtspunkt die tolle Küstenlinie ansehen!
The Praia do Camilo is also located at the entrance to the city of Lagos. It particularly fascinates with its bizarre rock formations and its many small bays. Take a look at the beautiful coastline from the viewpoint before walking down the numerous stair steps!
Praia do Alvor Nascente
Der Praia do Alvor Nascente ist ein kilometerlanger Sandstrand mit einer ausgedehnten Dünenlandschaft. Im Sommer wird er besonders gerne von Familien besucht. Die hier unter Wasser liegenden Schiffswracks sind ein Anziehungspunkt für zahlreiche Sporttaucher.
The Praia do Alvor Nascente with its extensive dune landscape stretches for miles. In the summer, especially families visit it. Sunken ships on the ground of the beach bay are an attraction for many scuba divers.
Praia do Martinhal
Der Praia do Martinhal ist ein langgezogener Sandstrand mit naturbelassener Dünenlandschaft. Aufgrund der guten Windbedingungen gilt der Praia do Martinhal als einer der besten Strände fürs Windsurfen!
The Praia do Martinhal is a long sandy beach with a natural dune landscape. It is one of the best beaches to windsurf due to the very good wind conditions!
Praia da Mareta
Der Praia da Mareta ist der erste Strand an der Südküste in der Algarve nach dem Kap São Vicente. Er liegt am Fuße einer mächtigen Kalkfelswand und ist ein sehr beliebter Stadtstrand. Auch von Surfern wird der Praia da Mareta regelmäßig besucht!
The Praia da Mareta is the first beach on the southern coast in the Algarve after the Cape São Vicente. It is located at the foot of a huge limestone cliff and a very popular city beach. Surfers visit the Praia da Mareta on a regular basis!
Praia da Marinha
Der Praia da Marinha wird von zahlreichen Felsbrocken und einer hohen Felswand geschützt. Die kleine abgelegene Bucht ist über eine große hölzerne Treppe erreichbar.
Many rocks and a steep cliff protect the Praia da Marinha. You can access its small remote bay by a large wooden stairway.
Praia da Bordeira
Der Praia da Bordeira ist der größte Sandstrand an der Westküste in der Algarve. Ein Netz aus Holzstegen führt Dich hinab zur riesigen Sandfläche sowie zu zahlreichen Aussichtspunkten, welche sich auf den angrenzenden Klippen aus porösem Kalkstein befinden.
The Praia da Bordeira is the largest sandy beach at the west coast in the Algarve. Wooden walkways lead you down to a huge sandy area and to numerous viewpoints that are situated on the flanking porous limestone cliffs.
Praia do Carvoeiro
Der Praia do Carvoeiro ist der Stadtstrand des alten Fischerdorfes Carvoeiro. Von seinen steil empor ragenden Felswänden hast Du eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den malerischen Ort, das Meer und den wunderbaren Badestrand. In Carvoeiro bieten zahlreiche Fischer Ausflüge auf ihren bunten Booten zu den Grotten und Höhlen in der Umgebung an.
The Praia do Carvoeiro is the city beach of the old fishing village Carvoeiro. From the surrounding cliffs that are rising up steeply, enjoy the beautiful view across the picturesque village, the ocean and the great beach. Some of Carvoeiro’s fishermen are offering trips to the grottos and caves in the surrounding area on their colorful boats!
Praia do Paraiso
Ein ganz besonderer Strand versteckt sich im westlichen Teil Carvoeiros. Der Praia do Paraiso. Von einem kleinen Parkplatz am Rande der Klippen führt eine steile steinerne Treppe hinab zur kleinen Bucht, welche bei Ebbe ihren wunderbaren Sandstrand freigibt. Bei Flut sind nur die umliegenden Felsen begehbar.
In the western part of Carvoeiro hides a very special beach. The Praia do Paraiso. You can access its small bay by a steep stone stairway from a parking lot near the edge of the surround cliff. Enjoy this beautiful sandy beach at low tide, because at high tide, it disappears below the water.
Praia do Tonel
Der Praia do Tonel befindet sich in unmittelbarer Nähe des Forts „Fortaleza de Sagres“. Er ist umgeben von hohen zerklüfteten Felswänden aus Kalkstein. Durch eine lange steinerne Fußgängerrampe ist der Strand erreichbar. Im Winter, wenn die Wellen des Atlantiks sehr hoch und herausfordernd sind, wird der Praia do Tonel besonders gerne von Profisurfern besucht!
The Praia do Tonel is located close to the fortress „Fortaleza de Sagres“. High rugged limestone cliffs surround it. The beach is accessible by a long stone ramp. In winter, when the waves of the Atlantic are high and challenging, especially professional surfers visit the Praia do Tonel!
Praia da Rocha
Der Praia da Rocha ist der riesige Stadtstrand von Portimão. Zu Füßen einer ausgedehnten Hochhaussiedlung und hohen Felswänden findest Du zahlreiche Lokalitäten, die Dir den Aufenthalt versüßen. Der Praia da Rocha ist unterteilt in mehrere Abschnitte, die sich bequem über die hölzerne Promenade erreichen lassen.
The Praia da Rocha is the large city beach of Portimão. At the feet of a group of enormous residential tower blocks and high rock walls, you will find numerous venues that will sweeten your stay. The Praia da Rocha is divided into several sections that can easily accessed from the wooden boardwalk.
